How Canva Pro can elevate your business

How I use Canva to create amazing graphics

If you’ve ever wondered how some of those YouTube thumbnails or Instagram posts look so good, then chances are, you’ve probably come across someone that uses Canva. You see, Canva is one of the best and easiest platforms to use for beginners in graphic design or people that just need something quick done. It’s especially useful for people who make social media content or simple stuff.

As a graphic designer myself (check out Lollipop Design Corner by the way!), author, social media user, and content creator, I constantly use Canva to create quick and easy content for some of my work. I have seen Canva in action by some other content creators, and it really looks great!

Canva Pro vs free Canva

First, we should probably talk about the subscription service Canva provides. They’ve called it simply Canva Pro. I personally use Canva Pro and have been using it for months now. In my eyes, you certainly can make great content on a standard free Canva account. However, I think that a subscription is worth it for sure.

You see, Canva Pro provides many features that its free plan doesn’t. Canva has stock photos, audios, fonts, and even some great looking templates. However, some of these things are only for Pro subscribers. So, if you subscribe to Canva Pro, you get access to all the photos, fonts, templates, and even premium graphics for your posts.

You can also do some light photoshoping and photo editing with Canva Pro. It comes with a very useful background remover and you can even save these as transparent PNGs. There are even awesome animation features for text elements so you can bring your posts to life for something like a Story or video.

Canva Pro is also very useful for teamwork. You can add up to five different accounts into a single Pro account, which means that if you work in a startup, you can all benefit from Canva Pro for one monthly or annual fee.

For brands, Canva Pro is great. Their organizable brand kits help sort out your fonts, colors, and even your own templates that you can also share with your team.

There’s a lot of positive things that come with a Canva Pro subscription. Plus, the great thing is that you can get a free trial risk-free and then decide if you want to keep Pro or not. I really recommend trying it. I myself started with the free trial and I found that it was amazing.

Canva can be used for social media posts

When you create content on Instagram or Pinterest, for example, you want it to look the best that it possibly can. If you’re a business-owner, then you definitely need to consider creating amazing content to post. The impression that your post quality leaves on people is vital to the success of your page.

Canva comes with templates for all sorts of social media posts, including Instagram, Facebook, Pinterest, and even video-based platforms like TikTok.

When I make any social media post, be it virtual photography, promos for my blog and YouTube, or even something as simple as a guide, I find it so simplistic to just go into Canva and know that a template for the exact sizing has already been made for me.

Another great way to utilize Canva for social media is by scheduling your posts. A Canva Pro feature, post scheduling is a great way to keep posts out of mind. Just make several in advance, set the times at which you want them posted, and just let Canva work its magic. It simplifies the posting process by a huge margin. This is especially great for people who have businesses or e-commerce and post ads on Pinterest for example.

When making Pins, Instagram posts, ads, or whatever it is for social media, Canva simplifies the process by a great margin. Canva easily can help you create proper and beautiful posts without the learning curve of Adobe.

Canva can be used for YouTube

I mentioned social media, but did you also know that Canva is great for making YouTube thumbnails as well? Yep, it certainly is!

YouTube is a massive platform with millions that log on every single day. There are always people scouring the platform for content and searching for interesting things to watch. However, the thumbnail is akin to a book cover: Technically, you shouldn’t judge a book by its cover, but reality says that we all do. YouTube thumbnails are one of the best ways to drive views on a video.

If the thumbnail looks bad, low quality, or just plain lazy, there is a lower chance that people will click on the video. Unless the topic is really niche or super interesting, you’ll find that your views take a hit as a result of the lack of a proper thumbnail.

Canva offers a YouTube thumbnail template that is perfect for getting the right size. With all the elements and tools that Canva offers, you can make bright and poppy thumbnails anytime. Its features allow for you to add things like graphics, colors, and text. You can also size your text properly, make use of negative space, and make the thumbnail actually have a presentable look to it.

Canva is great for small businesses

If you’re a small business starting out on a budget, then you’re probably confused on how to make posts and drive your social media traffic. It’s true that on social media, it’s a contest of looks. When posts don’t match user standards, traffic takes a hit as well.

That’s why if you have a small business, using Canva can elevate your work to the next level. Pinterest pins will look so much better, Instagram graphics will look great, and your advertisements will capture attention as well.
